Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a A2R DS Manager, located in Massachusetts, US.

This role will be part of the Global Services Finance team in the GS Finance Accounting process area. The Global Services Finance organization provides best-in-class, cost-effective financial services, and compliance-in a J&J way-to our Operating Companies around the world.

The GSF accounting team is responsible for the complete and accurate accounting for all transactions. This includes but is not limited to creating the Sales and corresponding Purchase orders, reconciling out of balances, monitoring ageing, and performing balance sheet reconciliations.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to create a new publicly traded company. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 24 months, and it will be subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as required, and other customary conditions and approvals. It is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, this position may be conveyed with New Orthopaedics business. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to the successful candidate by New Orthopaedics at an appropriate time and would be subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Maintain Operational Excellence

  • Responsible for leading of accounting and daily operations for GSF Accounting process areas.


  • Timely closing & execution of financial periods as per closing calendar and in accordance with SLA commitments, fully observing Compliance, Internal Audit & SOX requirements.


  • Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process/entity scope.


  • Driving deep expertise, ensuring team are fully knowledgeable of the Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements for respective areas.


  • Lead Accounting team (team of B25 and below associates).


  • Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities.


  • Ensure adherence, monitor, remediate and align compliance responsibilities with stakeholders. Manage, mitigate, and escalate risks on a timely basis.


  • Ensure strong internal controls are in place, to achieve "adequate" internal and external audit ratings.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED

  • Education: Minimum Bachelor's level degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline


  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience.


  • Minimum 5 years in Supervisory/1st Line Leader role in a Shared Service or BPO organization.


  • Experience in leading and managing large teams (~15 and above Team size headcount)


  • Track record of participating in Continuous Improvement and/or organizational or process transformation.


  • Experience in a Global Account to Report function of a multi-national company.


  • Experience in multiple migration of work.


  • Exhibits strategic, innovative & agile mindset.


  • Demonstrates strong accountability for resultsin self and for team.


  • Successfully manage multiple priorities, be very organized and work efficiently to tight deadlines.

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
