What You Will Do- Lead global month-end close and consolidation process to ensure the accurate, timely reporting of monthly and quarterly financials and results
- Partner with Revenue Operations team to oversee software revenue and associated costs for forecasting, quoting and billings.
- Prepare and send out monthly invoices to clients via email or upload into client portal
- Own cash application for invoices paid by US and Canada clients
- Perform routine weekly collection outreach efforts to clients
- Ensure all client legal documents have been executed prior to invoicing and paying out commissions
- Process AP invoices and necessary payments in various systems[JK1] for Canada and Australia
- Review US, Canada and Australia payroll to ensure all payrolls are accurate and processed on time.
- Support bonus and commission calculations and preparation of quarterly statements for distribution
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly intercompany entries for international subsidiaries using various foreign exchange rates
- Prepare and post journal entries as needed
- Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled properly and timely on a monthly basis
- Process monthly sales tax return filings and maintain relationship with sales tax firmLead accounting and tax related audits and all associated compliance reporting to hit deadlines in a cost-effective manner
- Implement and improve accounting systems, internal controls and reporting
- Support various audits as needed
What You Will BringTo be successful in this role, the candidate must be/have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or MBA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive US GAAP accounting experience at global technology companies
- Proficient Excel skills a must
- Experience leading global accounting teams through high-growth in fast-paced environments a must
- High degree of organization, individual initiative, intellectual curiosity, personal accountability and a commitment to driving results.
- A proactive can-do attitude; a self-starter who is comfortable working independently and with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent problem-solving skills and end-to-end quantitative thinking
- Ability to effectively communicate, telling stories with data, instilling confidence, educating and motivating stakeholders to act on recommendations
- Ability to adhere and drive to monthly, quarterly and annual department driven deadlines.
- Implementation of accounting related systems and experience with PowerBI a plus
- Experience with M&A or with venture capital-backed/private equity-backed companies is a bonus

The pay range for this role is:
120,000 - 135,000 USD per year (Chicago)
