At Dycom Industries, Inc as the Manager of Accounting - Consolidations, you will oversee the company's consolidation and financial close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards. This role will manage intercompany accounting, consolidations, and related reporting activities while monitoring adherence to established controls and partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve
complex accounting matters and drive process improvements.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with operating companies on the timely submission of monthly financial results, while providing responsive customer service, support, and open communication to address questions and resolve issues
  • Review and post adjusting journal entries
  • Review and compile the month end close binder and other supporting documentation,including accounting memos, to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established accounting policies and controls
  • Manage the annual goodwill impairment testing, including evaluation of market conditions and coordination with operating companies on future projections
  • Assist with the accounting for business combinations, including purchase price allocations and valuation of intangible assets
  • Research technical accounting guidance as needed to ensure compliance with GAAP and preparation of memos to document accounting decisions
  • Identify and execute process improvement projects
  • Assist with system implementations and internal control initiatives
  • Ad hoc assistance with due diligence in potential acquisition and / or special projects as directed by management
  • Will be required to work weekends as needed
  • All other duties as assigned


What you'll need

  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience, public accounting a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and sound analytical skills
  • CPA license required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with demonstrated technical proficiency
  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, Group Reporting, Analytics for Office a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize workflow
  • Ability to collaborate well with team members and leaders across the company
