Organization:
S3-Sutter Shared Services-Valley

Position Overview:
Prepares and maintains financial statements and reporting requirements across the finance organization. Identifies and interprets financial trends, income statement variances and events that impact financial performance or reporting.

Establishes and maintains strong, collaborative relationships with all customers to identify additional ways to be of service and ensure customer satisfaction. Maintains a positive and professional work relationship with all customers and members of teams.

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
  • 2 years recent relevant experience


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in healthcare accounting, financial reporting, audit, reimbursement, or finance analysis.
  • Experience supporting monthly and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, consolidations, eliminations, and financial statement analyses.
  • Experience researching and resolving accounting and reporting issues through analysis of financial and operational data.
  • Experience working with financial reporting databases, data warehouses, or business intelligence tools, including SQL, Power BI, Lawson, Workday, or similar systems.
  • Familiarity with GAAP, consolidated financial statements, intercompany accounting, and healthcare financial reporting concepts.
  • Experience preparing management reports, dashboards, ad hoc analyses, and executive-level reporting materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a complex environment.
  • Experience supporting audits, regulatory reporting, and process improvement initiatives preferred.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Knowledge of accounting and/or finance
  • In-depth knowledge of financial analysis and reporting methodologies
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and relational database systems
    Knowledge of basic accounting principles, including generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Knowledge of policies, practices and procedures a plus
  • Familiarity with Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) Chart of Accounts is preferred
  • Familiarity with performance metrics and ability to meet identified targets a plus
  • General understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and enabling technologies (e.g. contact center technologies) is beneficial
  • Ability to learn new applications/software systems effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to translate data analysis into suitable reports for presentation
  • Ability to perform data analysis on complex data sets
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback to team members to support continuous improvement
  • Ability to process requests consistently with high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work with, train and coach other team members
  • Ability to prioritize problems and promptly resolve or escalate when necessary
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with and collaborate with the organization as needed
  • Strong communication skills and have the ability to train others
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage individual assignments and complete duties within tight deadlines
  • Ability to recognize the appropriate style, level of detail, and message for the audience

Pay Range is $42.41 to $63.62 / hour

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
