Job DescriptionThe Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial and regulatory reports. They support a strong control environment through adherence to accounting standards, policies, and procedures. They'll partner with internal teams, auditors, and regulators to ensure compliance, resolve issues, and enhance reporting processes.
Job Description:- Maintains adequate accounting and control for various accounting functions.
- Maintains and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts.
- Prepares financial statements and reports.
- Maintains and develops automated accounting systems, controls, and procedures.
- Prepares and develops reports for management and/or for regulatory authorities.
- Responds to inquiries regarding accounting policies, procedures, and issues from management, external auditors, and regulatory authorities.
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
- Five or more years of experience in financial accounting activities
Preferred Skills/Experience:- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
- Considerable knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulations
- Considerable knowledge of accounting, reporting, and analysis
- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data
- CPA or CMA preferred

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $75,820.00 - $89,200.00
