Job Description

The Account Specialistis primarily focused on leading the renewal for existing accounts during the renewal window. The Account Specialist will have strong relationships with our customer success and sales teams to help ensure a great experience for our clients while mitigating risk.

  • Own the end-to-end renewal process for a portfolio of customers

  • Manage quoting, contract execution, and renewal forecasting

  • Identify and execute low-complexity upsell and cross-sell opportunities

  • Respond to inbound commercial inquiries and route complex opportunities appropriately

  • Partner with CSMs to align renewal timing with customer value realization

  • Collaborate with Finance and Legal to ensure smooth processing of commercial transactions

Key Responsibilities

  • Renewal Management: Drive timely and accurate renewals by managing quotes, contracts, and customer communications, ensuring a seamless experience

  • Commercial Execution: Handle inbound commercial requests, identify small-scale upsell opportunities, and support pricing discussions in collaboration with CSMs & Sales

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with CSMs, Sales, Finance, and Legal to align on customer strategy, pricing, and contract terms

  • Data & Forecasting: Maintain accurate renewal forecasts, update CRM records, and ensure visibility into commercial performance

  • Customer Communication: Engage with customers to confirm renewal intent, clarify terms, and ensure commercial alignment with their evolving needs

Key Metrics

  • Renewal & Retention: Percentage of contracts successfully renewed and customers retained within assigned accounts

  • Cross-Sales & Upsells: Revenue generated from low-complexity upsell and cross-sell opportunities identified and executed through the renewal process

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years in account management, renewals, inside sales, or customer-facing roles

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The target total cash compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the target total cash compensation range for this role is $78,400 USD - $145,600 USD. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. Target total cash compensation ranges are inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive.
