Full Job Description
Total Compensation: $70,000 to $110,000 per year. This range is regarding base salary + commission and does not include benefits. Overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographical location, skillset, education, and experience.

Alta Material Handling is seeking a full-time Account Sales Manager (New Equipment Sales), reporting to the Ontario Sales Manager, the Account Sales Manager has a crucial role of driving sales growth and expanding the company's market presence within your assigned territory. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy Development

Develop and implement a sales strategy for your territory to achieve company sales targets and objectives. This involves analyzing market trends, identifying potential customers, and setting sales goals.

Territory Management

Manage all aspects of your assigned territory, including identifying key accounts, prospecting for new business opportunities, and maintaining relationships with existing customers.

Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing excellent customer service, understanding their needs, and offering solutions that meet their requirements.

Sales Forecasting and Reporting

Forecast sales volumes and track sales performance within your territory. Provide regular reports to management on sales activities, market trends, and competitor activities.

Team Collaboration

Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure a coordinated approach to sales and customer support within your territory.

Personal Training and Development

Self-improvement and continual training is crucial to sales within your territory ensuring the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively sell company's products or services.

Market Awareness

Monitor competitor activities and market trends within your territory to identify opportunities and threats. Use this information to adjust sales strategies and tactics as needed.

Travel

Travel within your territory to meet with customers, attend trade shows, and participate in industry events as required.

Continuous Improvement

Continuously seek ways to improve sales performance and efficiency within your territory. This may involve implementing new sales tools or techniques, providing feedback to management on product or service offerings, and participating in professional development activities.

Qualifications
  • At least five years' experience in a similar equipment sales role dealing with senior business decision makers in the market
  • We do not require Canadian work experience for this role.
  • Verifiable track record of achieving revenue targets


  • Experience managing a high volume of accounts


  • A driven, hardworking account manager who brings a positive attitude to the workplace and places customers first


  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite


  • A University or College Education preferred


  • Sales and Account Management training is an asset
