Full Job Description
About the position: The Account Manager is responsible for implementing strategies to drive profitable growth for Univar Solutions' mining business. This person promotes our mining product portfolio, builds and maintains long-term business relationships through regular in-person meetings, and identifies new sales opportunities. They also work to grow revenue with existing customers while actively seeking out new business partners. #LI-VL1 #LI-Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build strong relationships with clients in the mining sector and develop new opportunities.
  • Grow Univar Solutions' presence by prospecting and acquiring new customers.
  • Understand the technical and regulatory factors influencing purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate prospecting activities, service, and follow-ups with internal teams.
  • Attend industry events to strengthen the company's visibility.
  • Conduct client visits, negotiate contracts, and close profitable deals.
  • Identify and develop opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and contribute to commercial strategies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for account management.
  • Represent Univar Solutions professionally.
  • Update the opportunity pipeline and customer information in Salesforce.
  • Meet weekly and monthly reporting requirements.
  • Present customer demand forecasts to Product Managers.
  • Keep product knowledge up to date and follow portfolio developments.
  • Stay informed about changes or updates to the product portfolio.
  • Stay current on market trends and developments.
  • Perform any other related duties.


What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or a related field preferred;
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in account management or sales within the mining sector.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Asset: experience in technical sales or technical knowledge in the chemical industry.
