Responsibilities

The Account Manager, Hotel Programs is responsible for managing and growing relationships with preferred hotel partners to drive program participation and engagement. This role will serve as a supporting relationship manager for brand and property level accounts.  

 

The Account Manager’s performance will be evaluated based on value generated for Internova Travel Group (ITG), with a focus on maximizing overall account and market level investment across ITG, the individual business units that comprise ITG, and for the Agents that make up our global network.

 

The Account Manager must be based in or around New York City and represent Internova Hotel Programs at industry events, in meetings with hotel partners and prospects, and in strategic meetings with Internova business units as necessary.

 

 

Preferred Location: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, or other surrounding areas that provide easy access to New York City.  Given the frequency of in-person meetings, client engagements, and events in New York City, the ideal candidate will be able to regularly travel to and work within the city. A hybrid work arrangement, including access to our New York office, is preferred.

 

 

Hotel Relations

  • Maximize partner level investment for 3 key constituencies: ITG, ITG Agents, and ITG Business Units, across five key categories: Program Participation, Pay-for-performance, Marketing Investments, Performance Bonuses, and Enhanced Commission
  • Strategic and proactive engagement with assigned hotel accounts
  • Work with ITG Marketing to execute strategic marketing plans aimed at increasing volume to key partners
  • Support senior leadership in quarterly business reviews with brand and property partners
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with property level contacts
  • Educate Suppliers on the value of Internova Travel Group and the various programs available to drive incremental revenue for both ITG and Supplier
  • Collaborate with accounts to analyze production and identify areas of opportunity
  • Champion ITG products and programs at a property level

 

Product Support

  • Assist operations team in following up on Rate Audit Results to ensure proper loading of ITG rates and offerings in the GDS when needed
  • Procure Hotel content to provide points of differentiation for the ITG Sales teams and agencies
  • Represent ITG at business unit and industry events as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve ITG programs

 

Projects

  • Work on special projects as requested by supervisor

 

Qualifications

 

  • Role must be based in the New York tristate area and able to commit to three days in the office per week
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Hospitality Management or Business Administration or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in the travel/hospitality industry with emphasis in supplier relations
  • Experience creating and implementing marketing plans preferred
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Microsoft office product skills
  • Travel as needed.  Estimated to be 15-20% but may vary.
