Position Summary
The Key Account Manager (Modern Trade & E-commerce) is responsible for driving profitable growth across assigned key customers and e-commerce platforms by developing strategic customer plans, managing commercial relationships, and delivering sales, market share, and profitability targets. This role leads both offline and online channel development through effective account management, commercial negotiations, digital execution, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
· Achieve sales, market share, profitability, and KPI targets across modern trade and e-commerce channels.
· Develop and execute annual customer business plans, forecasts, and growth strategies.
· Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and lead commercial negotiations, contracts, and promotional agreements.
· Manage and grow e-commerce platforms through assortment optimization, product listings, digital shelf excellence, and content enhancement.
· Develop and manage Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with key customers to drive sustainable growth.
· Own customer profitability through effective management of trade investments, commercial terms, and account P&L.
· Manage customer receivables and support timely collection of outstanding payments in partnership with Finance.
· Monitor sales performance, customer KPIs, market trends, and competitor activities, implementing corrective actions when required.
· Partner with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure successful execution of customer plans and promotions.
· Ensure product availability, visibility, and optimal execution across both offline and online channels.
· Provide regular business reviews, performance reports, and recommendations to support sustainable customer growth.
What we are looking for
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Commerce, or related field.
· 4-6 years of experience in Key Account Management, Modern Trade, Sales, and E-commerce.
· Proven experience managing major retail customers and/or e-commerce platforms.
· Strong commercial negotiation and analytical skills.
· Experience in sales planning, forecasting, and business development.
· Strong understanding of e-commerce fundamentals, digital shelf management, and online merchandising.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
