THE ROLE

As our Global Solutions team continues to expand, we are seeking a highly motivated and client-focused Account Manager to join our North American team.

The Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing relationships with key clients and their intermediaries to maximize client retention, revenue growth, and portfolio profitability. This role serves as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while identifying opportunities to expand client engagement through additional Coface products and services.

The successful candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, relationship management skills, and an understanding of current economic trends and their impact on the credit insurance market.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and intermediaries through proactive engagement and regular communication.
  • Serve as a trusted partner by responding promptly and effectively to client inquiries, concerns, and service needs.
  • Identify and promote relevant Coface solutions, products, and services through ongoing client interactions and onsite visits.
  • Drive client satisfaction, retention, and organic growth within the assigned portfolio.
  • Partner with clients to understand evolving business objectives and deliver value-added solutions.

Portfolio Management
  • Act as the primary relationship owner and central point of contact for clients and intermediaries.
  • Prepare and manage renewal strategies, contract renewals, and business expansion proposals.
  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of global programs for newly acquired clients.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and profitability, identifying opportunities to improve results and strengthen client outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent execution and high-quality service delivery.

Risk Management & Compliance
  • Support the prudent underwriting and commercial management of credit insurance business in accordance with Coface Group standards.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market conditions, credit risk trends, and their impact on client portfolios.


Qualifications

THE CANDIDATE

Education
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Banking, or a related field preferred.
  • MBA or advanced business degree is a plus.

Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of account management, client relationship management, or commercial insurance experience within the credit insurance, financial services, banking, or related industries.
  • Experience supporting multinational or global client accounts is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of credit risk management principles and commercial contract structures.
  • Project management experience and/or formal project management training is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to balance commercial objectives and risk considerations.
