Full Job Description
Position Overview:

Advanced Medical Strategies (AMS) delivers precision healthcare data intelligence to self-funded employers, health plans, brokers, TPAs, stop loss carriers, and MGUs. The Account Manager is the face our clients rely on - not someone introduced after go-live, but the person on the first kickoff call who is still there three renewals later.

This role owns the client relationship end to end. You're involved from the first kickoff call, coordinating the AMS teams responsible for setup and training so the client experiences a single, connected process rather than a string of handoffs.

You'll manage a portfolio of accounts spanning multiple stages: implementation, stabilization, renewal, and expansion. Success in this role comes down to recognizing which of those needs your attention in a given week - and you won't be figuring that out alone. This role suits people who are confident coordinating colleagues outside their direct reporting line, who ask for help before problems escalate, and who can have direct, honest conversations with clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Client Relationship & Strategy
Be the client's main contact and advisor for the life of the account. Turn data and industry knowledge into real recommendations, tie business reviews to the client's goals (not just metrics), know clients well enough to get ahead of their needs, and build multiple relationships on the account so it's not tied to one person.

Install Coordination
Technical teams handle setup - you handle coordination. Be the single point of contact through go-live, keep things moving, keep the client informed on what's needed and when, update the CRM weekly, flag delays early, and carry what you learn into the ongoing relationship.

Account Health & Risk
Track adoption against baseline and catch problems early. Monitor for warning signs (dropping engagement, support spikes, champion turnover, leadership changes). Keep health scores current, escalate at-risk accounts proactively, and prioritize when multiple accounts need attention at once.

Renewal & Growth
Own the renewal process end-to-end with CS and Sales. Build the value case before pricing talks start, spot real expansion opportunities, and keep renewal data accurate in the CRM.

Operating Discipline & Documentation
Keep CRM records clear enough that a teammate could step in seamlessly. Log decisions and commitments as they happen, spot patterns across your accounts, and help shape CS process as the product line grows.

Skills:
• 3+ years of experience in account management or customer success, preferably in healthcare, stop loss, or technology.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts effectively.
• Comfort with data analysis and translating metrics into actionable insights.
• Experience with CRM and Customer Success platforms (e.g., Zoho, HubSpot).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive results without direct authority.

Education, Experience, and Licensing - Required:
• Bachelor's degree
• Previous customer success experience in B2B SaaS, HealthTech experience highly preferred.

Suggested Pay Range:
• $100,000 - $120,000 commensurate with experience and education
