Position Summary
We're looking for a seasoned ProExec Account Executive to join one of our top performing teams!

The Account Executive plays a critical role in delivering exceptional client service and supporting the growth and retention of a specialized portfolio of business. Partnering closely with Brokers, carriers, clients, and internal stakeholders, this individual helps drive new business opportunities, execute renewal strategies, and ensure seamless account management throughout the policy lifecycle. The role combines strong technical insurance knowledge, operational excellence, and relationship management skills to support client success and business growth.

The Account Executive is responsible for assisting the Broker team in executing new business and renewal strategies, managing accounts, and navigating regulatory compliance requirements. This role collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders, maintains awareness of market trends, and provides strategic insights to support client retention and portfolio growth. Responsibilities include preparing and coordinating submissions, reviewing policy documents, endorsements, and invoices for accuracy, supporting proposal development, and managing critical client service activities. The Account Executive also helps identify trends within the book of business, proactively addresses account needs, and partners with brokers to deliver exceptional service and value to clients.

Location: This role is a hybrid position out of our La Jolla office (7911 Herschel Ave 4th Floor La Jolla, CA 92037)

What will your job entail?

  • Supports new business and renewal activities, including account preparation, renewal reviews, and client retention initiatives.
  • Prepares and reviews submissions, proposals, policies, endorsements, invoices, and other client-facing documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Partners closely with brokers to execute account strategies, support business development efforts, and deliver exceptional client service.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, carriers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyzes account activity and portfolio trends to identify risks, opportunities, and insights that support client retention and business growth.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, carrier guidelines, and internal policies while maintaining accurate account documentation.
  • Maintains client and policy data in internal systems and ensures servicing activities are completed in accordance with established quality standards.
  • Collaborates with Accounting, Compliance, Operations, and other internal teams to resolve invoicing, cancellation, and servicing-related matters.
  • Assists in the development of proposals, presentations, and other materials that support new business and renewal opportunities.
  • Manages accounts throughout the policy lifecycle, ensuring timely execution of deliverables and a high level of responsiveness.


Work Experience & Qualifications:
  • Active Property and Casualty License required
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial insurance industry experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Cyber Liability, Errors & Omissions (E&O), Executive Risk, Professional Liability, or related commercial lines strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing accounts through the full insurance lifecycle, including submissions, renewals, policy administration, documentation review, and client service activities.
  • Experience working within an insurance brokerage environment supporting complex commercial accounts preferred- wholesale highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Cyber Liability, E&O, Executive Risk, and related commercial insurance products.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze information, identify trends, and provide insights that contribute to client retention and business growth.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop trusted relationships with clients, carriers, brokers, and internal partners.

The target salary range for this position is $72,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually.

The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
