Full Job Description
Position: Account Executive, Department of War

Reports To: VP of Sales

Position Summary:

Epoch Concepts is a defense and intelligence technology company delivering integrated infrastructure, data, and mission solutions to the Department of War and the Intelligence Community. We help mission owners move data securely from the enterprise to the tactical edge across unclassified, secret, and top secret environments.

The Sales Executive owns revenue growth across three strategic Air Force and combatant command accounts: Air Force TENCAP, U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), and the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC), including Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) and the Sentinel ICBM program. This is a hunter-and-farmer role. You will build relationships with program offices, mission owners, and prime integrators, shape requirements early, and close multi-year opportunities through the right contract vehicles.

Who you are:
  • A strategic relationship builder who earns credibility with customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • A proactive business developer who knows how to identify opportunities early, shape pursuits, and turn relationships into meaningful pipeline.
  • Mission-minded and customer-focused, with the ability to understand complex challenges and connect them to practical technology solutions.
  • Comfortable navigating complex federal sales cycles, competing priorities, and multiple stakeholders without losing sight of the end goal.
  • Collaborative by nature-you work effectively across technical, contracts, finance, program, and partner teams to move opportunities forward.
  • Accountable and results-driven, with strong ownership of your pipeline, commitments, and outcomes.
  • A confident communicator who can move comfortably between technical teams, industry partners, and senior government and military leaders.

What youll do:

1. Revenue and pipeline ownership
  • Meet or exceed an annual bookings quota across AF TENCAP, SOUTHCOM, and AFNWC.
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline with accurate CRM forecasting, stage, and close dates.
  • Develop and execute an account plan for each customer, refreshed at least twice a year.

2. Customer engagement and shaping
  • Build trusted relationships with program managers, chief engineers, CIOs, J2/J6 staffs, and contracting officers.
  • Understand mission requirements and budget lines (PEs, POM, and J-books) to shape opportunities before release.
  • Respond to RFIs and sources sought, and influence requirements through white papers and capability briefings.

3. Capture and proposal support
  • Lead capture on qualified pursuits: win strategy, customer intel, competitive assessment, and price-to-win inputs.
  • Partner with solutions architects and proposal teams on technical approach, bill of materials, and pricing.
  • Identify and use the right vehicles, including GWACs, IDIQs, BPAs, OTAs, and CSOs.

4. Partner and prime ecosystem
  • Build teaming relationships with primes and major subcontractors on NC3 and Sentinel, including Northrop Grummans Sentinel team.
  • Manage OEM and technology partner alignment, deal registration, and joint go-to-market plans.

5. Internal collaboration
  • Work with engineering, contracts, finance, and program management to deliver on commitments.
  • Bring customer feedback into Epochs offering and partner strategy.
  • Represent Epoch at industry days, conferences, and customer events, including AFCEA, Space Symposium, and NC3 forums.

What qualifications youll bring:
  • 8+ years of federal sales or business development experience, including 5+ years supporting the Department of the Air Force, combatant commands, or Intelligence Community.
  • Proven success leading and closing multi-million-dollar, multi-year federal pursuits.
  • Strong understanding of the federal acquisition lifecycle, PPBE process, and FAR/DFARS requirements.
  • Experience selling technology solutions such as data infrastructure, storage, networking, compute, cybersecurity, or enterprise software.
  • Established relationships within relevant Air Force, combatant command, Intelligence Community, NC3/Sentinel, OEM, or federal partner communities.
  • Strong written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills, including experience briefing senior military and government leaders.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top Secret security clearance; an active clearance is preferred.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent military or professional experience.
  • Additional experience with military or government service, classified environments, NC3/nuclear modernization, rapid acquisition programs (OTA/CSO), or SOUTHCOM security cooperation is a plus.

What We Offer:
  • Progressive Compensation Package
  • Healthcare Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drugs)
  • Wellness program
  • 401k with Company match
  • Flexible Paid Time Off
  • 12 Paid Holidays
  • Life Insurance and Disability Coverage
  • On site gym (Littleton facility)
  • On-Going Training & Development

Our comprehensive, competitive benefits program is an important part of your total compensation package. We offer a variety of plans and coverage including health and welfare, retirement, unlimited PTO and voluntary benefits as well as resources to help you make cost-effective decisions for you and your family.
