Full Job Description
Position Summary

The Account Director, Real-World Evidence (RWE) is a senior commercial leader responsible for driving revenue growth and strategic expansion of Healwell AI's RWE portfolio.

This role owns:
  • Annual RWE revenue target achievement
  • Pipeline development and forecast accuracy
  • Full sales cycle execution
  • Growth within existing accounts
  • New customer acquisition across Life Sciences (primary focus), Healthcare Systems / Providers, Academia, and Public Sector

The Account Director leads the commercial process end-to-end and partners closely with the RWE Delivery Team, Clinical Sciences Team, and Chief Medical Officer to ensure alignment between commercial proposals and scientific delivery plans.

Following contract execution, projects transition to the RWE Delivery Team, with continued commercial oversight to ensure client satisfaction and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue & Forecast Ownership
  • Deliver against annual RWE revenue targets.
  • Lead full sales cycle: prospecting, opportunity shaping, proposal development, negotiation, and close.
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management and forecasting accuracy.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans across priority segments.

Pharma & Strategic Relationship Development
  • Build and expand executive-level relationships within pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, including Medical Affairs, HEOR, R&D, Market Access, and Data & Analytics leaders.
  • Leverage industry relationships to support new logo acquisition and account expansion.
  • Identify unmet evidence needs and align Healwell AI's RWE capabilities to client strategic priorities.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations and contracting processes.

Scientific Alignment & Delivery Partnership
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Sciences Team and Chief Medical Officer to ensure commercial proposals align with scientific delivery plans and methodological rigor.
  • Translate client objectives into clearly scoped commercial opportunities in partnership with Healwell's Clinical/Medical leadership.
  • Support alignment around dissemination goals, including peer-reviewed publications and conference outputs.
  • Reinforce Healwell AI's reputation for credible, publication-grade evidence generation.

Cross-Portfolio Collaboration
  • Partner with Healwell's Account Directors across our other product offerings to:
    • Identify cross-sell and integrated solution opportunities.
    • Coordinate enterprise account strategies to ensure a unified client experience.
    • Contribute to growth across Healwell AI's broader solution portfolio.

Governance, Privacy & Ethics
  • Communicate Healwell AI's rigorous approach to privacy compliance, governance, and ethical AI practices in all engagements.
  • Ensure all RWE engagements reflect responsible data stewardship and applicable regulatory standards.

Execution Excellence
  • Ensure seamless transition from sales to RWE Delivery Team.
  • Maintain executive-level commercial oversight during delivery.
  • Identify lifecycle expansion opportunities and drive long-term partnership growth.


Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Advanced degree (MSc, MPH, PharmD, PhD, MBA) preferred.

Experience
  • 5+ years in Real-World Evidence, HEOR, life sciences consulting, CRO, healthcare analytics, or related commercial roles.
  • Demonstrated success owning full sales cycle and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong existing relationships within pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies preferred.
  • Experience selling complex evidence or analytics solutions.
  • Familiarity working within healthcare regulatory environments.
