Account Director who will support risk strategy, client service excellence, and operational accuracy.
This role plays a pivotal role in overseeing the management of key clients and executing strategic initiatives to ensure client satisfaction, retention and revenue growth.
RESPONSIBILITIESWhat You'll Do / Your ImpactClient Partnership & Risk Strategy- Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of key commercial insurance clients
- Build trusted partnerships by understanding client business objectives, risk exposures, and long-term goals
- Conduct regular client meetings to review performance, address concerns, and identify opportunities for value-added solutions
- Collaborate with senior sales leadership to anticipate client needs and recommend strategic insurance solutions
- Provide informed guidance on industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging risks
- Participate in carrier engagements to strengthen relationships and expand product expertise
Operational Excellence- Partner with account management teams to ensure seamless execution of client strategies and service plans
- Maintain alignment between strategic account objectives and ongoing service delivery throughout the client lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with applicable insurance regulations, company policies, and industry standards
- Support a positive and collaborative work environment built on trust, communication, and teamwork
- Perform additional projects and responsibilities as needed
Strategic Contribution- Develop and execute strategic account plans focused on retention, cross-selling opportunities, and revenue growth
- Partner with senior sales leadership to support new business development initiatives
- Lead proposal development for prospective clients, leveraging industry expertise and solution knowledge
- Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and expand service offerings
- Champion Alera Group's culture and values through leadership and example
QUALIFICATIONSWhat You BringRequired- Active Property & Casualty License
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a client-facing commercial insurance role
- Proven success building and maintaining client relationships while driving revenue growth
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and industry trends
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, carrier partners, and clients
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High level of attention to detail and accountability
Preferred- Experience developing and executing strategic account plans for complex commercial insurance clients
- Demonstrated success supporting new business acquisition efforts and proposal development
- Experience collaborating with senior sales leadership and cross-functional teams
- Advanced understanding of risk management strategies and client retention practices
