Job Summary:The Accommodation and Logistics Specialist is a corporate Workforce Services professional within Global Workforce Services (GWS) responsible for supporting Global Business Units, proposal teams, and projects with workforce accommodation and logistics planning. The role focuses on conducting accommodation studies, market assessments, feasibility analyses, risk evaluations, and strategic planning to support project development, proposals, mobilization, and execution.This position serves as a subject matter expert in workforce accommodation strategy and logistics, providing recommendations and decision support to project teams regarding workforce housing, transportation, camp requirements, and related services. The position is based in Reston, Virginia, and requires periodic domestic and international travel to project locations and prospective project sites to perform assessments, audits, studies, and stakeholder engagements. #LI-TH1
Major Responsibilities:- Leads and responds to requests from GBUs, proposal teams, and projects for accommodation studies, workforce logistics assessments, and market analyses.
- Conducts evaluations of workforce accommodation environments, including hotels, lodges, camps, apartments, transportation networks, and other housing solutions in support of existing and prospective projects.
- Develops accommodation studies and recommendations that assess capacity, cost, quality, risk, availability, accessibility, workforce demographics, and project requirements.
- Supports project pursuit, planning, mobilization, and execution activities through workforce accommodation and logistics expertise.
- Establishes and maintains centralized repositories of accommodation studies, market intelligence, best practices, lessons learned, and approved suppliers.
- Tracks and analyzes workforce accommodation trends, market conditions, costs, and emerging risks in project locations worldwide.
- Collaborates with Workforce Services personnel to develop accommodation forecasts and long-range workforce planning assumptions.
- Develops presentations, reports, business cases, and executive briefing materials to support leadership decision-making.
- Provides subject matter expertise to project teams regarding accommodation strategy, workforce logistics, and service delivery models.
- Identifies risks associated with workforce accommodation and logistics and develops mitigation strategies and alternative solutions.
- Supports the evaluation, qualification, and performance monitoring of accommodation and logistics service providers.
- Partners with Construction, Security, ES&H, Labor Relations, Procurement, and other functional groups to align accommodation strategies with project requirements.
- Supports periodic audits and reviews of project accommodation programs to ensure compliance with company standards and contractual requirements.
- Supports broader Workforce Services, Global Workforce Services, and Labor Relations initiatives as assigned.
- Manages multiple concurrent studies, assessments, proposals, and project support efforts across a diverse global portfolio.
- Performs site visits, audits, and assessments of accommodation providers and facilities to evaluate suitability and compliance with project and company requirements.
- Develops and maintains accommodation planning tools, templates, standards, benchmarks, and reporting systems.
Education and Experience Requirements:- Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
Required Knowledge and Skills:- 10+ years of experience in Workforce Services, Construction HR, Labor Relations, workforce planning, accommodation planning, logistics, or related functions.
- Demonstrated experience conducting accommodation studies, market assessments, feasibility analyses, or workforce planning activities for large industrial, construction, energy, mining, or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of workforce accommodation models, workforce housing strategies, camp operations, and related service delivery methods.
- Experience evaluating workforce accommodation risks, costs, capacity requirements, and logistics considerations in diverse geographic environments.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information into actionable recommendations.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, data analysis tools, reporting systems, and presentation development.
- Strong executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence project teams and leadership without direct authority.
- Experience working across functional disciplines in complex project environments.
- Familiarity with accommodation service providers, housing markets, workforce transportation considerations, and contractor support services.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and competing priorities across a global portfolio.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally to conduct site assessments, audits, studies, and project support activities.
- Ability to work independently from a corporate office environment while supporting projects globally.
