THE WORK:- You'll conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, local, and company standards, while reviewing and updating Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and site-specific safety plans.
- You'll ensure subcontractors and vendors meet safety contractual obligations before work commences.
- You'll perform pre-task safety assessments to identify hazards such as fall risks, electrical hazards, and heavy equipment operations.
- You'll lead risk assessments for high-risk activities-including scaffolding, trenching, crane operations, and confined spaces-and enforce control measures.
- You'll collaborate with engineers and superintendents to implement engineering controls such as guardrails, PPE, and ventilation systems.
- You'll investigate all incidents, near-misses, and violations by documenting root causes, witness statements, and corrective actions.
- You'll maintain incident logs, perform trend analysis, and report findings to project leadership, insurance providers, and regulatory bodies.
- You'll conduct new hire safety orientations and toolbox talks on topics such as fall protection, fire prevention, and equipment safety.
- You'll develop and deliver specialized safety training programs including forklift certification, lockout/tagout, and hazardous materials handling.
- You'll foster a proactive safety culture by engaging workers, recognizing safe behaviors, and addressing unsafe acts promptly.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:- Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated expertise in EPA standards (OSHA plus), OSHA 500 (Authorized Outreach Trainer) or OSHA 510 and Safety or a related field

$115,000 - $135,000 a year
