THE WORK: • You'll develop, document and assist in the implementation of project delivery standards for management standards, project execution processes, and industry best practices across schedule, cost, scope, risk, change, reporting, and governance. • You'll provide direct oversight, coaching, and support to Project Controls Specialists, reinforcing consistent, accurate, and timely controls deliverables. • You'll review project management deliverables, including project execution plans, cost estimates, risk assessments, schedules, and supporting documentation, for development and alignment of Stage Gate and processes. • You'll assess project performance and controls analytics, identify gaps or emerging issues, and collaborate with project teams to develop practical mitigation and recovery actions. • You'll implement and enforce change management processes so proposed changes are clearly documented, reviewed, approved, and incorporated into project baselines. • You'll support the development and review of project risk registers and quantitative risk assessments, including Excel-based Crystal Ball analysis where applicable. • You'll develop standards for monthly project reviews and portfolio reporting. Use dashboards and performance metrics, including Power BI outputs, to communicate project status and support leadership decisions. • You'll provide guidance on schedule and cost adherence, contract administration, payment milestones, project controls specifications, performance management, and reporting exceptions or clarifications. • You'll promote safe behavior, follow applicable safety requirements, and work effectively in both office and field environments. • You'll bring a questioning mindset to existing controls processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and decision-quality while maintaining strong governance. HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field, or eight additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree • Six or more years of capital project management and/or project controls experience, with a strong project controls focus and essential utility capital project experience • Understanding and experience with the development and implementation of project delivery standards and stage gate process • Expert knowledge of scheduling, cost control, risk management, change management, reporting, and project and construction management fundamentals • Working knowledge of scheduling software and related analytics, with strong spreadsheet-based analytical skills • Ability to use logic, data, and structured analysis to evaluate complex issues, compare alternatives, and implement practical solutions • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage project teams and influence timely decisions • Ability to perform field walkdowns or observations on foot across moderate to rough terrain and lift up to 25 pounds overhead BONUS POINTS TO HAVE: • Direct project controls experience supporting utility capital projects • Hands-on experience with Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse, Power BI, and quantitative risk tools such as Oracle Crystal Ball • Experience applying project controls across EPC, multi-prime, or other contracting models • Experience working on construction sites, in engineering offices, or at fabrication facilities to support project teams • PMP, PgMP, PMI-RMP, AACE International, P6, or comparable project controls certification or training $160,000 - $200,000 a year Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
