POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Line Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Manager of Line Maintenance. Under the direction of the Line Maintenance Manager, the Line Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of all maintenance activities at Honolulu and outlying stations pertaining to aircraft maintenance. The Supervisor manages day-to-day shift activities, assists in troubleshooting, and maintains adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.

COMPENSATION
This position has a starting salary range of $78,170 to $85,980 per year. Starting salary varies and is based on applicable experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

Key Responsibilities:
• Provides all employees with an environment of trust, mutual respect, courtesy, and opportunities for growth.
• Is responsible to the Manager - Line Maintenance for the implementation and procedural enforcement of Aloha Air Cargo's maintenance department policies and procedures.
• Ensures proper distribution of manpower for work performance efficiency, flight schedule compliance, and the attainment of Airworthiness.
• Assists mechanics in investigating and correcting sources of trouble on Company and customer's aircraft and spot checks their work to ensure compliance with all specifications and safety standards. Responsible for decision involving maintenance being performed under his/her supervision.
• Recommends and submits suggestions for obtaining equipment to perform maintenance work in an efficient and economical manner and instructs subordinate employees in its use.
• Communicate aircraft status and maintenance progress to the Maintenance Leadership Team.
• Provide timely updates to Dispatch, Flight Operations Control and other departments as required during shifts. Ensure accurate and clear communication of shift activities and any aircraft issues.
• Ensure assigned personnel maintain training compliance.
• Is responsible for all property, equipment, parts, and materials at his/her assigned location.
• Makes certain that all safety and accident prevention measures are being fully enforced and revises and corrects such procedures, as warranted.
• Under the guidance of the Manager of Line Maintenance, has the authority to hire, discipline, and discharge personnel in his area of responsibility.
• Is considered a working supervisor, open and willing to provide hands on support and assistance as needed.
• Shall be responsible for any additional duties delegated by the Director of Maintenance.
• Responsible for generating mechanic work schedules that meet operational needs.

Education and/or Experience
• High School equivalency and 4-year degree in a technical/aeronautical field or equivalent work experience required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a current FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate.
• Two (2) years air carrier supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Five (3) years air carrier maintenance or equivalent experience required.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Must be able to travel and work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Maintenix preferred.
