Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to create a new publicly traded company. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 24 months, and it will be subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as required, and other customary conditions and approvals. It is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, this position may be conveyed with New Orthopaedics business. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to the successful candidate by New Orthopaedics at an appropriate time and would be subject to any necessary consultation processes.
Key Responsibilities:Be compliant with applicable laws and regulations, and follow guidelines in the J&J Credo Maintain Operational Excellence - Responsible for leading of accounting and daily operations for GSF Accounting process area.
- Timely closing & execution of financial periods as per closing calendar and in accordance with SLA commitments, fully observing Compliance, Internal Audit & SOX requirements.
- Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process/entity scope.
- Driving deep expertise, ensuring team are fully knowledgeable of the Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements for respective areas.
- Lead Accounting team (team of B25 and below associates).
- Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities.
- Ensure adherence, monitor, remediate and align compliance responsibilities with stakeholders. Manage, mitigate, and escalate risks on a timely basis.
- Ensure strong internal controls are in place, in order to achieve "adequate" internal and external audit ratings.
Talent Management - Attract, develop, and retain a highly competent, high-performing, motivated and diverse Credo-based team.
- Develop succession plans for and support career development of the team.
- Ensure effective performance management within team.
- Lead Accounting team (team of associates/managers).
Be a Trusted Business Partner - Champion & Influence strategy & solutions demonstrating strong Business acumen.
- Internally recruit, mentor, and drive the individual Process SMEs to ensure cross sector, cross region, and cross process alignment, ensuring good documentation is maintained and consistency of a global approach.
- If assigned a role of Operational Key Contact (OKC) then candidates will be the key liaison point within their Process for a defined Region & Sector with BUF and CFMs, answering queries, coordinating with SMEs/analysts on process and operational matters, resolving issues and updating partners on close status.

Qualifications: PG31 REQUIRED - Education: Minimum Bachelor's level degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years in Manager role in a Shared Service or BPO organization.
- Experience in managing large teams (~30 and above Team size headcount)
- Track record of leading Continuous Improvement and/or leading organizational or process transformation.
- Experience in a Global Account to Report function of a multi-national company.
- Experience in multiple migration of work.
- Exhibits strategic mindset.
- Successfully manage multiple priorities, be very organized and work efficiently to tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
- Ability to frame clear & concise communication across all relevant stakeholders.
- Open to new ideas, rapid change and embracing new technologies.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations, demonstrating a pragmatic approach.
PREFERRED - Education: CPA, CMA, MBA and/or other financial certification
- Solid US GAAP accounting knowledge.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :183,500.00

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
