Your role at a glanceResponsible for implementing and deploying infrastructure-related requirements for NTT customers and internal NTT stakeholders within the assigned region, the Fit-Out Project Manager oversees the full project lifecycle for IT, data center, and capital expenditure projects ranging from small and medium deployments to enterprise and select hyperscale initiatives. This position independently plans and manages project scope, timelines, resources, quality, cost, and risk while maintaining a strong focus on health and safety, customer service, and business continuity. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, with high quality, and within budget; communicates status, risks, and business impacts to key stakeholders; and provides a consistent approach to project structure, documentation, delivery, asset management, and closeout. The Fit-Out Project Manager is also accountable for quality assurance of installation and de-installation activities, delivery of critical facility documentation, and maintenance of as-built specifications in accordance with Service Operations records retention standards, while supporting regional alignment with the "Minimum Downtime, Maximum Uptime" mentality, processes, and procedures.
What we are looking for KEY responsibilities
- Lead client-facing and internal infrastructure projects from pre-implementation through closeout, ensuring contracted services are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer requirements, specifications, and contractual obligations.
- Define project scope, objectives, milestones, tasks, assumptions, risks, dependencies, resource needs, schedules, and delivery plans in coordination with stakeholders, technical teams, contractors, vendors, and internal departments.
- Review and verify customer requirements, Basis of Design, drawings, contractor documentation, method statements, and risk assessments to ensure alignment with required specifications, installation standards, Health & Safety expectations, and Business Continuity requirements.
- Coordinate, supervise, and report on implementation activities with Service Operations contractors and internal teams, including equipment orders, shipments, site activities, quality assurance testing, and closeout deliverables.
- Maintain an onsite presence as required to support project execution, coordinate with contractors and internal teams, validate installation progress, address field issues, and ensure work is completed in accordance with project requirements and site expectations.
- Identify construction issues, defects, project risks, change requests, and client or team escalations; perform analysis, recommend solutions, and communicate impacts, decisions, and next steps to management, clients, and project stakeholders.
- Prepare, maintain, and publish project documentation, schedules, Methods of Procedure, status reports, action items, owners, due dates, account documentation, as-built records, and related project artifacts using approved tools such as Microsoft Project and SharePoint.
- Schedule and facilitate project status meetings with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal project teams to review progress, address risks and issues, track decisions, and maintain alignment across stakeholders.
- Track, maintain, and report project financial performance in real time, including budgets, costs, deviations, procurement requirements, fair quoting or tendering practices, and updates needed to support value for money and policy compliance.
- Ensure product quality, manufacturing readiness, serviceability, installation quality, and quality assurance metrics meet applicable standards and support successful project delivery.
- Conduct site reviews, perform ad-hoc analysis, prepare or update business cases, and provide recommendations that support project governance, decision-making, business benefit realization, and transition of project outputs into business-as-usual operations.
- Develop and maintain project management frameworks, process improvements, procedure revisions, and performance practices that support departmental objectives, customer service expectations, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Support strategic departmental objectives, adhere to safety reporting and compliance expectations, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Support training fellow peers by sharing project management best practices, standard processes, lessons learned, and tool usage to promote consistency, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement across the Service Operations Project Delivery team.
Key Performance Indicators - Work with the Service Operations - Regional Manager to define and implement a set of project management key performance indicators (KPI) that are measurable and demonstrate how effectively the Service Operations Project Delivery team is performing against their objectives
Reporting - Provides regular Project Delivery performance updates
- Provide regular reporting on performance against project delivery KPIs and schedule regular meetings with the regional team to address any KPI related issues and concerns. After these meetings, they will provide a regular update to the Service Operations Projects Team Lead on any concern relating to asset management KPI performance
- Provide support and guidance on how to rectify and improve any reported non-conformance or performance issue identified
Planning- Will develop realistic plans, set goals, align plans with objectives and coordinates with other team members
Problem solving- Will have the ability to break down problems into smaller components, understands underlying issues, can simplify and process complex issues, understands the difference between critical details and unimportant facts appropriate and escalate when required with strong input and guidance around options / recommendations

KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES
- Knowledge of IT, data center, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and building infrastructure systems, with the ability to deliver retrofit projects in active mission-critical environments.
- Project management experience with commercial specialty and/or general construction firms, including practical understanding of fundamental project management principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, Windows, and SharePoint.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam and Revit, with a general understanding of drawing packages such as Visio and/or AutoCAD.
- Experience writing and reviewing Method of Procedure documents and reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Knowledge of SSAE 16 and other industry certifications is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in dynamic environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare, present, and summarize information for varied audience types.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interface effectively with customers, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task, work independently, and support team members through changing environments.
- Working knowledge of Plan Do Check Act or similar continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
- Recognized Health and Safety qualifications are desirable.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal; additional language capability is desirable.
- Willing and able to travel as required.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business management, engineering, project management or a related field / equivalent experience strongly preferred.
- Professional licenses or certifications such as PMP or PMI are desirable.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project/Construction Management or a relevant field is required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Primarily performs work while seated, with the ability to remain stationary for extended periods and perform close visual work on a computer terminal.
- Frequently moves about inside and outside of the data center, facility, and jobsite, including in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of the jobsite, which may include walking, standing, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, stretching, ascending or descending ladders, and working on raised platforms.
- Must be able to position self in small spaces as required for inspections, reviews, and project-related activities.
- Requires manual dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, peripherals, telephone, two-way radio, and other technical instruments.
- Able to hear and speak with others in person and through communication devices such as a telephone and two-way radio.
- Able to lift, carry, move, and handle equipment, hardware, and other objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Perform work during US business hours and across US time zones as required.
Work conditions & other requirements
- Work primarily onsite at a data center location.
- Periodic travel to other NTT GDCA, client, or vendor locations as needed.
- Travel required up to 10% of time.
- Exposure to varying temperatures and loud noises.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Must be able to respond to emergency situations at the data center.
- Responsible to carry a cell phone and provide 24 x 7 support as needed.
- Must be willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, holidays.
- Must possess a current, valid state-issued driver's license. Can travel internationally if required.
Occasionally perform work from a remote location with stable internet connection with prior Manager approval.
Compensation Pay RangeThis position requires work to be done onsite at a data center facility and may require use of a personal mobile device. A monthly stipend will be provided to cover expenses incurred for using a personal device, if applicable.
NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. The base salary for this position is $105,500 - $150,700.
All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
