Who We Are Looking For:

Phoenix Tailings is seeking a Government Affairs Manager to execute day-to-day federal engagement across aerospace and defense stakeholders. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and critical to expanding Phoenix's footprint within the defense industrial base.

Key Responsibilities:
    • Execute government engagement strategy across DoD, Congress, and federal agencies
    • Support defense-focused policy initiatives tied to critical minerals and domestic manufacturing
    • Build and maintain working relationships with congressional offices and defense agencies
    • Engage with defense primes to align policy efforts with procurement and supply chain needs
    • Track defense authorization, appropriations, and regulatory developments impacting Phoenix
    • Prepare briefing materials, policy memos, and stakeholder updates for leadership
    • Represent Phoenix Tailings in defense and aerospace policy meetings and working groups


Qualifications:
    • 6-10 years of experience in government affairs, defense policy, or federal relations
    • Experience engaging with DoD, congressional committees, or defense-focused agencies
    • Familiarity with aerospace and defense supply chains and industrial base issues
    • Experience working with or supporting engagements involving defense primes
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to operate independently in a high-growth, technically complex environment
