The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time SUPERVISORY INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (NH-2010-04) to work at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC), on Tinker AFB in Oklahoma, OK. The primary purpose of this position is to exercise 2nd level (or higher) supervisory and managerial authorities over the 420th Demand and Supply Planning Flights. Directs work activities through subordinate supervisors/leads with responsibility for providing advice, accountability, and expertise to higher management and/or senior leadership on a continuous basis. Exercises control over the organizational element by providing direction, planning, and leadership for assigned subordinate personnel.

Duty #1 - Exercises 2nd level (or higher) technical and administrative supervisory personnel management responsibilities for 25% or more during duty time over subordinate employees predominantly in the Supply Group at the journey level or higher.

Duty #2 - Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics workforce management related operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.

Duty #3 - Participates in special logistics workforce related operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments.

Duty #4 - Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Mastery knowledge of the applicable principles, concepts, policies, and laws; functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve problems; and all aspects of support.

2. Ability to plan, organize, and direct, mentor, motivate and appraise the staff of a medium to large sized organization.

3. Extensive knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures

4. Extensive knowledge of principles and practices of team building, developing interpersonal relationships, maintaining good working relationships, and leading members as a cooperative team.

5. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.

6. Ability to utilize AoP concepts and initiatives to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization.
