Job Description:

This role acts as the primary focal point for optimizing the health and effectiveness of IT vendor relationships. This role actively monitors process adherence and implementation of consistent IT vendor management operating processes. This role interfaces with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall strategies and processes. This role works in a collaborative fashion with all IT and business partners to deliver technology solutions that allow TD Bank U.S., to be the better bank in every market in which it competes. Our solutions and services will provide TD Bank a quality and cost advantage, leverage our enterprise capabilities, meet business needs, and provide high availability in a secure environment.

Depth & Scope:
  • Subject matter expert/specialist in the field and may manage people
  • Promotes and champions a consistent IT Vendor Management process for TD Bank and US Technology Solutions
  • Initiates regularly scheduled process performance reviews; Analyzes process review findings and identifies deviations and quality improvement initiatives; Ensures that improvement initiatives identified in process reviews are acted on and progress reports are provided to the IT VMO Leader
  • Provides assistance in the review of Service Level Agreements, contracts, and agreements for IT strategic vendor integration initiatives
  • Validates alignment between business requirements and IT Vendor Management process capabilities
  • Ensures that all IT Vendor Management processes are consistent and interface appropriately with TD IT vendor strategies, enterprise processes, and standard terms and conditions
  • Assesses project delivery risk through regular reviews of IT strategic vendor scorecard performance; Provides input into scorecard continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develops process performance reports to track TD compliance to IT vendor management processes
  • Functions as a primary escalation point for disputes regarding process adherence and vendor relationships
  • Routinely monitors trends in IT vendor management best practices and identifies opportunities to incorporate within existing processes
  • Develops and conducts process training awareness sessions to improve process adoption and adherence
  • Continuously seeks and implements initiatives to reduce vendor and department expense and/or add value
  • Collaborates with Strategic Sourcing to optimize vendor unit cost and total cost
  • Monitors vendor expense against projected budgets. Alerts appropriate functional groups to significant variances


Education & Experience:
  • 4 year degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3-5 years of related experience required
  • Previous experience with IT Vendor Management Processes.
  • Demonstrated experience with relationship management, negotiations, reporting tools and internal/external banking regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience with Process Quality and Maturity standards as well as Service Management and Delivery best practices.
  • Proven strength with MS Office Suite, Visio and MS Project.
