Job DescriptionOverviewThe 3D Model/BIM Coordinator is responsible for the development, integration, coordination, and governance of the digital plant model for the Monark-D Program across both the Conventional Island (CI) and Balance of Plant (BOP) scope.
The role acts as the focal point for model integration between AtkinsRéalis, Stantec, Hatch, Indigenous partners, OEMs, suppliers, and future EPC contractors, ensuring that all engineering disciplines work within a common and coordinated digital environment.
The position plays a critical role in supporting engineering integration, interface management, constructability reviews, quantity take-offs, procurement planning, and future construction execution.
Your Role- Support the development and implementation of BIM execution strategies, model governance frameworks, and digital engineering standards.
- Coordinate and integrate multidisciplinary 3D models, including civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, I&C, HVAC, and vendor-supplied models.
- Maintain a single integrated digital plant model across the Conventional Island, Balance of Plant, and site-wide infrastructure scopes.
- Facilitate clash detection, model reviews, quality assurance activities, and LOD compliance to ensure project readiness.
- Collaborate with engineering leads, project teams, suppliers, and contractors to resolve design interfaces and model integration challenges.
- Support construction planning activities through constructability reviews, installation planning, sequencing reviews, crane studies, and 4D planning exercises.
- Prepare BIM coordination reports, model readiness assessments, clash reports, and lead BIM coordination meetings with project stakeholders.
About You- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Architecture, BIM Technologies, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- BIM Professional certification is considered an asset.
Experience:
- 5+ years of BIM/3D model coordination experience.
- Experience on large industrial, infrastructure, power generation, or nuclear projects.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering models.
- Experience supporting project execution from design through construction.
