Full Job Description
Eaton's Electrical division is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Supervisor to join our team in Woodridge, IL at the HUB facility.

The Supervisor reports to the 2nd Shift Manager. The 2nd Shift Supervisor will lead and work alongside the Shipping, Transportation and Inbound, and with Operations Team Leads to ensure the team is well equipped to achieve production metrics in support of achieving the Plant High 5 goals.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,000 - $126,000 a year.

What you'll do:

  • Provide direct supervision for production employees in assigned area.
  • Participate in employment and staffing decisions, performance management decisions.
  • Implement and support behavioral based zero incident safety culture.
  • Drive plant wide Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain departmental personnel records and reports on productivity, quality, and attendance.
  • Maintain all departmental, work, vacation, overtime and related schedules.
  • Develop and implement schedules and manpower requirements to meet or exceed production plan.
  • Plans and prioritizes departmental as well as site-wide production schedules based on carrier pickup times, labor constraints and material supplies.
  • Monitor departmental productivity to ensure that established quality and production levels are maintained or exceeded.
  • All duties assigned by management and deemed pertinent to the continued success of Company and employee objectives and/or goals
  • Champion use of Eaton systems and tools to ensure appropriate execution within assigned areas
  • Engage direct reports in manufacturing LEAN initiatives including but not limited to operator standard work, 5S, pull systems, empowered work teams, and structured problem solving.
  • Provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development.
  • Develop employees within areas of responsibility to work as a team to accomplish goals as set forth by the company or location.
  • Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton's goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement.
  • Communicate company policies, procedures, and guidelines and ensure they are consistently practiced.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with other departments to expedite the workflow and ensure the established quality expectations.

Keys to role success:

  • Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas as needed. Ability to lift 35 lbs.
  • Ability to to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position
  • Willingness to become certified in operation of forklifts to transport and locate equipment and materials to required areas #LI-LR1
