Job Requirements - Valid Washington State Certificate with appropriate endorsement.
Qualifications - Successful experience using a direct instruction curriculum
- Successful teaching/student teaching experience.
- Experience in teaching core academic skills at the elementary level.
- Experience and/or training working with diverse learning capabilities ranging from special education through gifted including at-risk students.
- Ability to successfully prepare students for state assessments
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in elementary teaching.
- Demonstrated interest, commitment, and ability to work positively with students at the elementary level.
- Demonstrated positive interactions with students at the elementary school level.
- Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to decision-making in collaboration with administrators and other staff members.
- Experience working with elementary PLCs to make curricular and instructional decisions.
- Knowledge of Washington State Common Core State Standards as they relate to the elementary curriculum
- Must be familiar with ELL strategies.
- Experience interpreting data from DIBELS, NWEA, and program assessments to make instructional and student placement decisions.
- Must be familiar with the MTSS process at the elementary level.
- Must be familiar with Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
Terms of Employment: Starting Date: August 26th, 2026-June 10th, 2027 -2026-2027 School Year
Salary: $58,336-$121,314 Based on Education and Experience, 2026-2027 REA Salary Schedule
180 days/year.
