ROLE

The Marketing and Communications Lead for the Huron Perth & Area Ontario Health Team (HPA-OHT) will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategic marketing and communication initiatives that support HPA-OHT's mission to deliver integrated, patient-centered care across the region. This role requires a dynamic and innovative leader who can effectively manage various stakeholders to enhance the visibility and impact of the OHT.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION(S)

  • Postsecondary degree in a health-related area and/or communications, marketing, public relations, journalism or related field.


REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE(S)

  • Three to five years' communications experience in a healthcare setting
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and content management systems.(Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop/Premiere and/or other graphic design software, recording software).
  • Experience in creating internal and external communications and implementing a communications plan.
  • Experience in working closely with organizational and senior leadership
  • Media relations experience.
  • Understanding of the health sector, including primary care, acute care, home care, long-term care, and community support services.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and collaborative skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and demanding timelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, and the ability to work both independently and as a part of team.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills, including the ability to present concepts verbally.
  • Self-motivated, with excellent organizational and planning skills; a self-starter and is skilled at creating concise, effective communications for complex matters.
  • Ability to work in a Home-based environment.
  • Project management and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media.
  • High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information.


DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE(S) & EDUCATION

  • Advanced training in graphic design is an asset
  • Strong understanding of Huron Perth and Area communities is an asset
  • Demonstrated experience with various social media platforms and with website development or design is an asset.
