JOB DESCRIPTION

As an intern, you'll be part of a supportive team where your perspective is valued, helping to innovate products for our clients. You will join our team of industry experts to manage risk for our global businesses and collaborate with professionals across the firm. You'll receive training, mentorship, and engaging projects to develop your expertise.

What to expect

 

This full-time program kicks off with four weeks of intensive training led by our senior leaders, world-class professors, and top consultants. You'll sharpen your skills in areas such as valuation analytics, accounting, corporate finance, economics, equity capital markets, debt capital markets, and risk analysis through interactive learning tools and hands-on modeling supported by your colleagues, teammates, and mentors. In addition, you will gain knowledge of our risk management, controls, and infrastructure areas, and help provide effective risk management and improvements.

 

You'll build your technical and practical knowledge on-the-job with opportunities in one of the groups listed below: 

 

  • Credit Risk Team: Assess client credit strength and analyze the firm's retained credit risk related to lending and trading activities. Locations: New York, NY; Jersey City, NJ; Plano, TX; Houston, TX; Chicago, IL; Los Angeles, CA

  • Market Risk Team: Track market events, perform portfolio analysis and provide risk advisory for multiple asset classes, including FX, Rates, Equities, Credit, Securitized Products and Commodities retained by the firm. Locations: New York, NY

  • Chief Investment Office, Treasury and Corporate (CTC) Risk Team: Manage the risk of the retained portfolio generated from CTC businesses, including Market Risk, Credit Risk, and Principal Risk. CTC Risk is also responsible for the independent risk management of Firmwide Liquidity Risk, Interest Rate Risk, and Capital Risk. Locations: New York, NY

     

Other potential Risk Full-Time Analyst team placements include: Commercial Banking Risk and Principal Risk. Once on the desk, depending on your group, your responsibilities as a Full-Time Analyst may include: performing analysis/due diligence on a counterparty/product, monitoring risk sensitivities across individual counterparties and the portfolio as a whole, building financial models, contributing to analytical exercises in response to global events, preparing reports to outline recommendations to senior management and assisting in evaluating market moves that could cause losses to the firm.

  • Understand the role of integrity and transparency in dealing with regulators, clients, and business stakeholders

  • Collaborate across the organization to solve problems proactively, including inquiries from clients, regulators, and stakeholders

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Attend college/university in the U.S.

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.

  • Expected graduation date of December 2026 – June 2027 from bachelor’s or master’s program

    • If you are pursuing a master’s degree, it must be completed within 2 years of your bachelor’s degree

  • Exceptional quantitative, analytical, project management, and communication skills

  • Proficiency in Excel and Word; fluency in English

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework in finance, economics, or accounting a plus
