  • Salary Range: $80,508 - 96,612 annually (salary range is based on market data; final salary offered is determined by education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant.)
  • A 15% salary uplift is provided on top of base salary for positions that are worked in New York City or San Francisco, which is subject to change depending on market conditions.).


Project Overview:

The rapid growth of AI and digitalization is fueling unprecedented demand for data centers that require large, reliable sources of energy. In response to this market trend, the Renewables & Clean Power (R&CP) team have signed an early works contract to build one of the largest gas fired power generation facilities in the U.S. Our team is helping the customer progress early-stage development, that would lead to the start of full EPC delivery next year.

An excellent opportunity exists for a Graduate Electrical Field Engineer to develop hands-on field engineering experience within a supportive construction environment on the combined cycle gas turbine Project Kilby in Pecos, Texas. You will mobilize to the project on a long-term (camp) assignment in Pecos, TX. This position is contingent upon project award.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Area Field Engineer, you will provide project field engineering support with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover. Your work will contribute to ensuring field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.

Major Responsibilities:

Work Planning & Packaging
  • Assists in the preparation of construction drawings, sketches, projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements
  • Assists in planning construction methods and procedures.

Material Management
  • Initiates requisitions for field purchases
  • Assists in preparation of quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.

Quantities
  • Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.

Safety / Quality Control
  • Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.

Technical
  • Proactively considers continuous learning or shows interest to pursue appropriate learning activities
  • Assists supporting construction engineers, discipline superintendents, foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents

System Turnover Coordinator

For Direct Hire
  • Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.
  • Builds system and area turnover packages both digitally and physically for turnover to startup and client.


Education and Experience Requirements:

You will possess an engineering degree (electrical, electronic communication or alike) with less than 1 year of experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Electrical engineering, construction materials, installation sequence and interpretation of electrical drawings.
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
