DescriptionNorthrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Structural Engineeror Structural Engineer . This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in Clearfield, UT.
The selected candidate may be involved in any number of products including air vehicles, subsystems, equipment, ground support, tooling, modifications, testing, interface control, requirements, process improvement, etc.
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Work in a high-paced team environment to support programmatic goals and schedule.
Develop solutions to difficult problems that are thorough, imaginative, practical, and consistent with objectives.
Designs, researches, and develops engineering product definition that could include all phases of the product life cycle from preliminary design to sustainment.
2D and 3D Model Based Design (MBD) utilizing software packages such as NX.
Use of fundamental GD&T.
Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) utilizing software packages such as TeamCenter.
Critical thinking and personal organizational skills to capture and complete a design that meets all engineering requirements.
Design Collaboration Methodology (DCM): work closely with key stakeholders throughout the design process to accomplish design completeness in a timely manner.
This requisition may be filled as either a Associate Structural Engineer (level 1) or Structural Engineer (level 2) based on the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications for an Associate Structural Engineer
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2026
Be majoring in or having majored in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar STEM degree
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.

Preferred Qualifications:
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
Pay Range:
Associate Structural Engineer: $65,800 to $98,800
Structural Engineer: $79,300 to $118,900
