Full Job Description
Inside the Role
The Sr. CNC Tech will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs to support production needs. This role focuses on translating engineering process plans, drawings, and specifications into efficient machining instructions. The CNC Programmer will collaborate closely with manufacturing engineers, machinists, and production teams to ensure accurate implementation of engineered processes and high-quality part output

This position offers:
  • Starting pay of $32.20/hr. up to top pay of $45.44/hr.*
  • Quarterly gainsharing bonus potential

  • Develop, edit, and maintain CNC programs for mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications to determine machining strategies, tooling requirements, and setup instructions.
  • Implement manufacturing processes provided by engineers, ensuring programs align with defined methods, tolerances, and quality standards.
  • Work with Tooling Tech to elect appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds to optimize cycle time, tool life, and part quality.
  • Identify opportunities to improve machining efficiency, reduce scrap, and enhance repeatability.
  • Maintain organized program files and revision control in accordance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve manufacturability concerns or design-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production requirements.


Knowledge You Should Bring
  • Experience programming CNC machines using CAM/CAD.
  • Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC machine operation.
  • Knowledge of macro and programming logic implementation
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D models.
  • Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, materials, and best practices.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose machining or programming issues.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or precision machining environment is preferred.


Exceptional Candidates Might Have
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environment
  • Blueprint knowledge, experience operating a Mill/Lathe, gauge experience and computer skills.
  • Previous mechanical experience
  • High School Diploma / GED is preferred and further college education a plus
  • CNC Program schooling is preferred
