Job Summary At this time, only current PSEG employees are being considered. As a member of PSE&G's Gas Operations business, provide leadership and direction in the daily operations of the District's Appliance Service business. Provide oversight of the daily operations of the District's business and financial plans including: workforce deployment; maintaining proper balance between tariff and non-tariff (competitive) services; ensuring that the Appliance Service business remains profitable while implementing plans for the growth of competitive services; maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction; implementing plans for performance improvement in safety, productivity, customer relations and reliability. Manage all aspects of operations on a day-to-day basis and direct team in accomplishing desired results. Ensure quality and quantity of work performed is in compliance with Company standards and procedures, safe work practices, environmental and government regulations. Oversee operations to ensure a safe work environment. As needed, interact with municipalities, government agencies/officials on behalf of PSE&G.

- As needed, interact with municipalities, government agencies/officials on behalf of PSE&G.
- Directly supervise staff and service technician performance, resolve employee relations issues, resolve industrial relations matters and ensure technical development of the Appliance Service associates.
- Oversee operations to ensure a safe work environment.
- As an employee of PSE&G, during storm/outage restoration efforts, may be required to perform functions different from normal operations and the regular work schedule. May also be required to work in an alternate location.
- Directly supervise staff and service technician performance, resolve employee relations issues and industrial relations matters and ensure technical development of the Appliance Service associates.
- Oversee operations to ensure a safe work environment.
- Respond outside of normal working hours since Appliance Service is a 24/7 operation.
Job Specific Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 7 years relevant work experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills including written and oral communication and presentation skills; Ability to achieve results in challenging situations
- Strong knowledge of the Appliance Service business
- Experience and understanding of Collective Bargaining agreements
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP
- Demonstrated ability to interpret financial and operational measures; knowledge of utility finance principles
- Must obtain an acceptable score on the First Line Supervisor's Test (FLST) unless presently a PSEG employee directly supervising and responsible for performance of blue collar, operating department/represented associates for a minimum of 12 continuous months with satisfactory performance
- Strong analytical skills
- This is a safety sensitive position; DOT testing is required
- Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license with a satisfactory driving history
- Compliance with the Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
Desired- Associate or Bachelor's Degree
- Strong knowledge of utility finance; knowledge of contracts
- Proficient in the PSE&G workforce management and reporting systems
- Mechanical skills, knowledge of HVAC and Energy Consuming Equipment
- Plumbing, electrical or mechanical trade-related licenses and certification
