Creates a positive team experience by serving as a role model and supporting team development.
Provides coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training to Consultants, including technical guidance, data analysis techniques, and project methodology.
Reviews work performed by Consultants to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project standards.
Facilitates knowledge sharing and contributes to process improvement across the practice.
Client
Leads client interviews with technical, engineering, finance, and tax personnel to gather information relevant to incentive qualification.
Serves as a primary point of contact for client workstreams, ensuring timely, clear communication and outstanding client service.
Responds to client requests and manages expectations throughout the engagement cycle.
Participates in client meetings to present findings, methodologies, and tax positions.
Develops and supports client proposals, planning strategies, and deliverable presentations.
Collaborates with Federal Income Tax, International Tax, and other Ryan practice groups to support integrated client solutions.
Value
Leads the gathering, organization, and analysis of large volumes of financial, technical, engineering, and operational data; creates or reviews complex calculation models and databases.
Supports and may lead audit defense activities, including responding to IRS and state inquiries, preparing documentation packages, and assisting managers with strategy.
Prepares and reviews memorandums, interview reports, tax incentive calculations, and other project deliverables prior to manager review.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction-related fields
Demonstrate a strong understanding of tax knowledge aspertaining tothe 179D tax deduction and various sustainability/clean energy incentives
Four-year college degree from an accredited institution inpractice-relevant area with 3+yearspractice-relevant experience.
Must have excellent organization and timemanagement skills,strong communicationskills, and willingness to learn and be a team player.
Strong analytical, communication, writing, and project coordination skills.
Proven ability to manage workstreams, lead client interactions, and review team deliverables.
Preferred Experience:
Develop andmaintainrelationships with a revolving list of clients in the AEC industry
Demonstrate strong inter- and intra-personal skills
Ability to communicate with C-suite, CPA, Principal, and Professional Architecture/Engineers on a variety of industry-specific topics.
Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management background/degree a strong plus
Strong organizational and time-management skillsrequired
Computer Skills:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft4 Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-based research tools.
Familiarity with legal/technical tax research platforms preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver’s license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Requires limited supervisory responsibilities, including training peers and checking work for accuracy and completeness.
