Full Job Description
Position Summary:

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing - Facilities on our Center of Excellence team. You will lead and manage complex strategic sourcing engagements across all facility categories, ensuring business continuity, cost savings delivery, and high levels of supplier performance. This role engages with all relevant client stakeholders and reports directly to the Director, Strategic Sourcing - Facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of sourcing and category strategies across the full facilities category management lifecycle, from opportunity identification and baseline development through sourcing, negotiation, contracting, implementation, supplier governance, savings realization, and continuous improvement.
  • Delivering measurable client results across hard and soft facilities services and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) supplies. Service categories include HVACR, Janitorial Services, Environmental Services, Landscaping and Snow Removal, Food Services, Security Services and Technology, Waste Management, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire & Life Safety, and other facilities-related services.
  • Engage with internal and external client stakeholders to understand business objectives, operational requirements, category priorities, and challenges, translating them into actionable sourcing and category strategies.
  • Own and project manage complex, end-to-end sourcing engagements, including project plans, timelines and deliverables; data gathering and baseline development; RFP development and execution; proposal analysis; supplier negotiations; presentation of recommendations; award decisions; and contracting support.
  • Lead supplier proposal evaluation and bid normalization using TCO, should-cost, scenario, and risk analyses to identify cost drivers, quantify opportunities, and support fact-based negotiations and award decisions.
  • Develop cost-reduction and value-creation strategies beyond unit-price negotiations, including value engineering, demand management, specification and service-level optimization, supplier rationalization and consolidation, and alternative delivery models.
  • Develop and evaluate facilities scopes of work, specifications, SLAs, KPIs, staffing models, service frequencies, and commercial structures to support competitive sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier performance management.
  • Serve as a Facilities subject matter expert in complex commercial and contract negotiations, including pricing structures, service levels, performance requirements, and other key business terms.
  • Develop and maintain market intelligence and supplier ecosystems by category and region, evaluating market trends, cost drivers, emerging capabilities, geographic coverage, self-performance, subcontractor dependencies, labor models, capacity, scalability, and operational risk.
  • Support post-award supplier transition, implementation, and governance to ensure sourcing decisions are operationalized and negotiated value is realized, including performance scorecards, business reviews, corrective actions, savings tracking, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze category and sub-category spend, supplier performance, sourcing opportunities, savings commitments, and realized savings to identify risks and additional value opportunities.
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships across client organizations, including senior executives and C-suite stakeholders, facilitating effective communication among client business units and suppliers to support implementation, issue resolution, service delivery, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities beyond the defined scope of work that create additional financial, operational, service, or strategic value for clients.
  • Support prospective client engagements through facilities benchmarking, market intelligence, and comparative analysis to assess current-state performance, identify sourcing and optimization opportunities, and quantify potential value.

Requirements:
  • 8-10 years of indirect procurement and strategic sourcing experience, with deep expertise across Facilities categories, including hard and soft services and MRO.
  • Proven experience developing and executing category strategies and leading complex, large-scale sourcing initiatives across multi-site, geographically dispersed facilities portfolios and regional or national supplier delivery models.
  • Strong knowledge of Facilities supplier ecosystems, operating models, and cost drivers, including labor, productivity, materials, equipment, subcontracting, service frequencies, specifications, geographic variability, supplier coverage, capabilities, and delivery risks.
  • Experience developing and evaluating Facilities scopes of work, service specifications, SLAs, KPIs, staffing models, service frequencies, pricing structures, and other commercial requirements.
  • Strong supplier negotiation and commercial strategy experience, including TCO modeling, bid normalization, financial analysis, baseline development, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement value engineering, demand management, specification optimization, and other opportunities that reduce total cost while maintaining service quality and operational requirements.
  • Ability to establish defensible financial baselines, quantify sourcing opportunities, and distinguish between negotiated savings, implemented savings, cost avoidance, demand reduction, and other sources of client value.
  • Experience supporting supplier implementation, transition, governance, and performance management to ensure sourcing strategies and negotiated value are successfully operationalized.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into clear, actionable business recommendations for clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Proven experience engaging stakeholders at all organizational levels, including senior executives, and building cross-functional consensus, preferably within professional consulting, BPO, managed services, outsourcing, or another client-service environment.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, project management, negotiation, and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, establish credibility, influence stakeholders, and identify opportunities beyond the defined scope of work.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple complex sourcing engagements, priorities, timelines, and deliverables while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting client expectations.
  • Entrepreneurial and adaptable mindset with a strong commitment to client service, measurable results, continuous improvement, and success in a changing, client-driven environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data and financial analysis and PowerPoint skills for developing executive-level presentations.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
