The Heart Center is a 23 bed Cardiac Special Care and 12 bed CCU unit. The Heart Center cares for a variety of cardiac patients including chest pain, MI, pacemaker, post procedural, etc. The unit provides telemetry and intermediate care for patients while offering exceptional patient experience.

The nurse manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Heart Center to ensure support of the mission, goals, and objectives of the unit and Fairview Health Services.

Responsibilities also include:
• Human resource management to achieve quality service and positive employee engagement. Providing in-services as required by regulatory agencies, and ensuring department and unit standards.
• Achievement of high standards of patient satisfaction as well as stellar clinical quality results.
• Accountability for effective fiscal management to ensure proper utilization of financial resources.
• Development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of quality improvement programs for the department.
• Adherence to compliance with internal and external regulations, policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain a healthy, supportive work environment, demonstrating behaviors consistent with service excellence.
