Job Summary At this time, only current PSEG employees are being considered. Reporting to the Network Architecture IT Manager, the Solution Architect designs network solutions that support business functions by evaluating user needs, goals, budgets, and existing systems. The role focuses on improving processes through automation and innovative strategies.
Job Responsibilities- Align with IT and OT strategy, contributing to roadmaps and identifying Network technologies that simplify operations.
- Develop and maintain network architecture frameworks that support core business needs and enterprise standards.
- Document processes, resolve issues, and recommend enhancements to improve system reliability.
- Communicate customer business needs to product teams and strengthen vendor relationships through agreements and SLAs.
- Architect secure network designs, expand automation capabilities, mentor team members, and ensure new solutions integrate properly.
Job Specific Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and 5+ years networking experience, or 9+ years without a degree.
- Proficiency in Python, Ansible, or similar scripting tools for automation.
- Demonstrated leadership in projects and Network enhancements.
- Ability to identify needed features, improvements, and architectural alignment with IT strategies.
- Experience coaching architects and other network team members and supporting complex projects.
- Strong communication skills across various teams, vendors, leadership, and customers.
- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts and work effectively with external groups.
- Must meet and maintain nuclear requirements for Unescorted Site Access.
