10217-Software Engineer III
Location:Irvine, HQ Role Overview: The Software Engineer III is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing software projects and system changes. This role partners directly with users to understand requests, address day-to-day system questions and concerns, and help ensure assigned systems function correctly. The position also coordinates with internal HAEA groups and outside vendors when system integrations, projects, or issues require cross-functional support.
Key Responsibilities - Analyze user requests to determine whether system changes are necessary.
- Work with users on a day-to-day basis to answer system questions and address concerns.
- Analyze, design, develop, test, and implement software projects, programs, and system changes.
- Interface directly with user clients and help ensure assigned systems are functioning correctly.
- Coordinate and work with other HAEA groups when integration projects or issues arise.
- Work with outside vendors that interface with assigned systems, as necessary.
- Apply sound judgment when evaluating data, selecting methods, and determining solutions for problems of diverse scope.
- Escalate matters as needed when a business need is determined to be outside the scope of the position's responsibility.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Five to seven years of experience in a programmer or software engineering position.
- Excellent analytical skills and superior problem-solving skills.
- Good documentation skills.
- Ability and willingness to assist users with their tasks when needed.
- Ability to work with limited instruction on day-to-day responsibilities and general instruction on new assignments.
Preferred Qualifications - Technical certifications and/or completion of relevant technical courses.
- Experience supporting business users and troubleshooting production or operational systems.
- Experience coordinating system integration work across internal teams and outside vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.
Salary range: $96,550-$138,061
