The United States Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) is a major command within the United States Army Materiel Command (AMC). TACOM is responsible for the research, development, acquisition, and sustainment of tanks, armored vehicles, and other ground combat systems. The command is headquartered in Warren, Michigan and has facilities throughout the United States. TACOM's mission is to provide the Army with the best possible ground combat systems and support services, and to ensure that these systems are ready and available for deployment whenever and wherever they are needed.
