The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) is an international public health agency working to improve health and living standards of the people of the Americas. It was founded in 1902 and is the oldest international public health organization in the world. PAHO works with countries throughout the Americas to improve and protect the health of their populations. It provides technical cooperation and mobilizes partnerships to improve health and quality of life in the countries of the Americas.
