Oral Roberts University (ORU) is a private evangelical liberal arts university in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Founded in 1963, the university is named after its founder, evangelist Oral Roberts, and accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The university enrolls approximately 4,000 students.
ORU offers over 70 undergraduate majors, as well as a number of graduate-level programs. The university is also home to the ORU College of Theology and Ministry, which offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in theology and ministry. ORU is known for its emphasis on spiritual life, with mandatory chapel attendance for all students and a focus on integrating faith and learning in all academic programs.
