The National FFA Organization is a youth organization that promotes and supports agricultural education. The organization was founded in 1928 as the Future Farmers of America and changed its name to the National FFA Organization in 1988 to reflect the growing diversity of agriculture. The National FFA Organization provides leadership and personal growth opportunities to its members through agricultural education, career development, and community service. The organization has over 700,000 members in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The National FFA Organization is funded by donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
