The Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS) is a professional organization for physicians and medical students in Massachusetts. It was founded in 1781 and is the oldest continuously operating state medical society in the United States. The society provides continuing medical education, advocates for patient care and physician practice, and publishes the New England Journal of Medicine. The MMS also provides a variety of services to its members, including legal and financial advice, insurance, and networking opportunities.
