Eastern Connecticut State University (Eastern) is a public liberal arts university in Willimantic, Connecticut. It was founded in 1889 as a normal school for teacher education. Today, Eastern offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in arts and sciences, education, and business. The university is part of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities system.
