Bates Technical College is a public technical college in Tacoma, Washington. It was founded in 1940 as the Tacoma Vocational School, and has since expanded to offer over 50 programs of study in fields such as healthcare, construction, and manufacturing. The college has three campuses in Tacoma, and serves approximately 3,000 students each year. Bates Technical College is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, and is a member of the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges.
