The American Society of Appraisers (ASA) is a professional organization that represents appraisers of all disciplines, including business valuation, gems and jewelry, machinery and technical specialties, personal property, and real property. The organization was founded in 1936 and is headquartered in Reston, Virginia. ASA provides its members with education, training, and certification programs, as well as networking opportunities and other resources to help them succeed in their careers. The organization also works to promote the appraisal profession and to ensure that its members adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards. ASA has more than 5,000 members in the United States and around the world.
