Summary:

The Private Fund Client Service Team is a niche coverage group providing client service and operational support for the firm’s Private Funds including Hedge and Private Equity funds. The team’s mandate is to partner with various internal teams, as well as external fund administrators, to provide our private fund investors with a consistent client service experience. This requires a deep understanding of the product as well as operational process flow oversight and execution. The Client Service Associate’s scope of work will include onboarding clients, ownership of the subscription/redemption process, execution of underlying investment trades, day-to-day management of client inquiries and requests, management of our fund administrator relationships, and production and dissemination of client/regulatory/shareholder services reporting as well as investor communications. The Associate will be an integral part of the Private Fund Client Service Team performing various operational and client service functions as described below:

Responsibilities: (Hedge Fund(PF)/PE Funds

Coordinate the subscription, capital call, and redemption process as well as maintain/distribute investor kits (PF/PE).
Handling the subscription/redemption process for underlying Hedge Funds.
Ensure the NB Hedge Fund Investment capital calls are funded.
Partner with Fund Administrators to ensure proper adherence to fund terms as outlined in the offering materials, side letters, investor commitments, and regulations
Manage group mailboxes (as assigned) and phone line utilized for communication with both internal groups and external investors/counterparties
Draft and coordinate the distribution of client communications
Act as a point person for the preparation and/or distribution of all standard (and ad-hoc) weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports for commingled funds, customized portfolios and separately managed accounts as assigned
Manage internal posting of reports and marketing materials
Assist with special projects as assigned
Drive continual improvement via process enhancements

Qualifications:

Excellent client service skills, including sound business judgment and understanding of escalation procedures
High attention to detail
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Strong collaboration, time management, and organizational skills
Client focused and detail-oriented with a strong ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast past work atmosphere
Understanding of Asset Management strategies, Investment Mandates and Fund Accounting
Series 7 and 66 (or must secure within 3 months)
Experience working with/at a Fund Administrator preferable, but not required
Private Equity exposure

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $70,000-$100,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
