Full Job Description
Insight is currently seeking an X Ray Supervisor. This is a permanent, full-time 1.0 FTE position, with rotation across 16 clinics in Edmonton and the surrounding area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical X-ray duties while balancing supervisory responsibilities.
  • Identify and implement approved efficiencies, innovations, and workflow standardization across X-ray services.
  • Monitor compliance with accreditation, diagnostic imaging, licensing, certification, and departmental standards; escalate gaps as appropriate.
  • Support staffing needs, including scheduling, vacation coverage, recruitment, interviews, technical assessments, and hiring recommendations.
  • Lead onboarding, orientation, training, and ongoing support for new employees and students.
  • Provide technical expertise, coaching, competency assessments, and performance feedback; identify knowledge or performance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and document clinical competency assessments, probationary reviews, annual appraisals, and performance management support.
  • Review X-ray reject analysis, monitor trends, provide coaching, and escalate recurring or significant concerns.
  • Test, validate, and sign off technologists on medication preparation, as required.
  • Monitor employee credentials and certifications and follow up on required updates.
  • Support policy and procedure development, updates, and implementation.
  • Approve timecards as assigned and document employee concerns for performance management.
  • Attend required meetings and perform other duties as assigned
