Pay Range: $101,489.42 - $132,655.59 per year

The above reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

The Wound Care Nurse provides clinical consultation services to patients with skin injuries and to those requiring ostomy care,

This practitioner also educates staff while providing consultative services,

Formal staff education is provided via the RN and ancillary competency assessment programs,

RN license

BSN required, MSN preferred

BLS Certification

2 years of experience working in a wound care nurse role

Experience documenting electronic health record (EHR) data

Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Assesses learning needs of a group of employees and identifies priorities

Plans, designs, and develops learning or performance improvement initiatives to meet identified priority learning needs

Evaluates, documents, and reports outcomes

Acts as change agent for departmental or organizational processes

Serves as a clinical resource for the Nursing Professional Development professionals, nursing staff, and health care providers to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Disseminates recent innovations and evidence regarding wound and ostomy care

Links nurses to professional development and other relevant resources

Provides wound and ostomy education during the RN and ancillary onboarding processes

Takes a leadership role in creating and executing wound and ostomy topics in the RN and ancillary annual competency programs

Provides wound care nurse patient consultation upon request

Oversees the monthly pressure injury prevalence process
